Hello everybody,
It's beginning to feel like summer, but we still have to be careful of typhoons.
This past month, we were very busy with:
1. Volunteering in Tohoku (3rd time) again many thanks to the people who donated money for our trip.
2. Meeting with Tohoku Deaf people and interviewing them.
3. Making more ASL and JSL videos
4. ASL and JSL lunch party and workshops with Corey and Leah.
5. Leah's farewell party in Kyoto and Osaka.
6. English dinner party.
7. Finally moving to our new office, thanks to the help from 11 people!
It may seem easy, but to accomplish this many things in one month really takes a lot of dedication from many people. Many thanks to everyone who supports us and understands the hard work that we do.

５年生聾学校で簡単アメリカ手話教えました。本当に楽しかった。３０分で子供たちが全部アメリカ手話指文字覚えました。早い！先生たちもびっくりした！
It was a pleasure to be invited by a Japanese Deaf School and teach 5th graders basic ASL . The teachers were surprised to see how fast the kids were able to pick up the ASL finger spelling!

皆さんこんにちは。 日本人にとって4月というのは最も忙しい月です。学生さんは新しい学期が始まり、新社会人にとっては大きな門出となります。そして先輩たちは新入社員たちを指導しなければいけません。Hello everyone.
April was the busiest month for all of Japan. Many students are starting a new school year, many people join a new company and many company workers have to train the new workers.
Here at DeafJapan, we tried our first overseas Online conference with Brittany Branch-Smith and it was a great experience for everyone. Thanks again Brittany! We will continue to have special guests from around the world to talk with us again through webcam. Our next online guest will be Paul Guo (May 13 from 11:00-13:00).
Soon it will be golden week and I hope that you all have something planned for the long vacation. Even resting at home is very important to becoming relaxed and healthy again.
DeafJapan will join with Deaf World Network at the 60th Deaf Convention in Kyoto. Please visit Deaf World Network's booth and chat with us.
